March 11, 2008 - 02:35 PM For My Supporters... by Mike Huckabee Dear Troops:
The overwhelming response that we continue to receive on the website has been humbling. While we know the campaign is over, the cause to stand for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is not. I'm trying to adjust to a new routine and finding it difficult after being gone every night for the past 14 months. I think I will someday find a bottom to the pile of things stacked on my desk and in boxes nearby, but it may longer than I thought. Of course, I will be working hard to elect GOP candidates this year--from Senator McCain all the way down to helping with candidates at the state level. I will also be creating an organization that will help us focus on activating people around the nation to take a stand and become citizens who are both informed and involved in America's future. We will have more details about that soon. In another week or so, Janet and I will take off for a long 4 day weekend to have some time to reflect and recharge. As I watch the debate among the Democrats, one thing is apparent--the direction that either of them would take the country is dramatically different than what what we think needs to happen. I'm convinced that taxes would get much higher, government would be much more involved in our lives and the federal government would continue to eclipse the local governments. Our courts would change radically left for a generation, and the lives of the innocent unborn, disabled, and elderly would be more at risk than ever. We would have a grossly underfunded military, and small business owners would struggle with massive new regulations. I hope you'll continue to keep the faith and keep in touch. I wish we could personally call every one of you to say thanks for your sacrifices, encouragement, prayers, generous contributions to the campaign, and just plain hard work that you put forth. Life is good. God is merciful. You are wonderful! In the battle,
Mike Huckabee

I am now supporting McCain, as we need a conservative to guard the next 4 appointments to the Supreme Court.
Thanks for stopping by this blog. I haven't posted here for some time. I may need to re-think my focus on this one. Initially, it was specifically a Huckablog. :)
Blessings,
Sherry
I will definitely hold my nose voting for McCain.
